On Sunday, 14th July 2019 we had the pleasure of having our good friend Jordan Olney from Pioneer 61 encouraging us as a visiting speaker.
Jordan is spending a year networking with the Relational Mission family of churches to explore church planting dynamics and to establish contacts and supply lines towards pioneering a new church in Tete, Mozambique with Pioneer 61 sometime in 2020.
Jordans message can be heard via the link below:
Great afternoon hanging out with our Relational Mission #Swale friends Mike & Lynne, Matthew & Helene, Sam & Steph & their beautiful families. We had a tasty BBQ at ours then walked to the local park for some family fun in the sun - Mission is always best when done with friends! #relationalmission #moretogether #sheppey #faversham #sittingbourne
Ace to have David Bareham visit #Sittingbourne today to encourage us on in the mission.
Gordon & David headed into the harvest together for an hour, engaged with multiple people, prayed with a few.
In the evening David joined us to help us consider what it looks like for each of us as Hope Church Sittingbourne to courageously multiply disciples.

It was fab to have such a great turnout for An Evening with Luke. We had the pleasure of hosting 22 friends from across Relational Mission churches in Canterbury, Faversham, Medway, Maidstone & Sittingbourne to hear nuggets of pioneering wisdom from Luke Morrisson of Risen Light Church Helsinki.
It's great that even when we are little more than a handful of people gathering together in a room we can still play our part in getting caught up in apostolic mission to nations with friends! #moretogether #relationalmission #kent #newfrontiers #pioneering #missionalchurch
WHAT IS ENOUGH?
ENOUGH is an initiative that will inspire and resource local churches and individuals to increase their desire for God through worship and prayer, and to engage in prayer with vibrant emerging apostolic vision before them, in order to see lives and situations transformed and a broken world healed.
This is achieved through ENOUGH hubs. An ENOUGH hub is a group of churches that gather for a half night of prayer at the same time as all the other hubs around the world. This is typically 3 times a year. Watch this video to get a flavour for what an ENOUGH hub looks like.
WHERE IS ENOUGH?
This ENOUGH we will be gathering at Headcorn Village Hall (TN27 9NR) with our friends from The Vine Maidstone, New Life Church Tunbridge Wells, Cornerstone City Church and Church on the Weald.
More details to follow...
Weds, 21st November 2018
7pm until 10pm @ Ypres Tavern, Sittingbourne (ME10 1AP)
We’re really excited to have our good friend Luke Morrison from Risen Light Church Helsinki with us for a few days in November.
Luke & Alison Morrison have been living in Helsinki giving their all to pioneer the Risen Light Church Helsinki plant since 2015 along with Kevin & Lydia Jones who moved in 2013. Risen Light Church Helsinki is coming into a real season of fruitfulness having gone through ups and downs along their pioneering journey.
We’ll be gathering for An Evening with Luke at the Ypres Tavern on Sittingbourne High Street for a sit down meal and drinks in their private function room. Once we’ve finished our food we’ll have time to hear some of Lukes stories and perspectives on their Helsinki adventure and living life on a mission, in particular highlighting some of the realities of pioneering both when it’s joyous and maybe when it's not so!
We'll be having curry with a choice of two curries (one mild, one hot) served with rice, poppadum and naan bread. The cost is £7.50 per person plus drinks, which must be bought from the bar (you can't bring your own).
Booking is essential beforehand using the link below so we can let the venue know ahead of time how many to cater for.
We’re believing this will be a formative time for us as a church as we further develop relational connections with our pioneering friends in Helsinki. We’re also inviting pioneering minded friends from further afield that may find the evening beneficial.
Wednesday, 17th October 2018
8pm until 9:30pm at The Abbey School, Faversham (ME13 8RZ).
Our friends at Faversham Community Church will be hosting an evening of prayer for Swale at The Abbey School.
We'll be joining with FCC and the Sheppey Gospel Plant to seek God together as we pray into each specific context and think beyond the local, discerning the heart of God for collaborative work across historic boundaries and borders.
We will be meeting in Conference Room next to the Dining Room. This is in the block to the west (left) of the flag for the school on the map. Park in front of the school, not at the sports centre. Thank You.
On 28th to 30th September 2018 we had 4 friends (2 married couples) attend the Relational Mission 'Called to Go' weekend hosted by Redeemer Colchester.
Each couple went hoping to get something fresh from the weekend and they weren't disappointed.
The opportunity to take 3 days out to get with other pioneers to discern the next steps of mission with teaching, times for fellowship and practical evangelistic outreach was an overwhelming blessing for those from Hope that attended.
One couple in particular have connected with us at Hope Church Sittingbourne having had a historical connection with Newfrontiers from almost 8 years ago. For them the opportunity to meet others from across Relational Mission and to get a gauge of how we do things as an apostolic family of churches was an affirmation for them of their call to be part of what God is doing here in Sittingbourne.
We're truly thankful for the Relational Mission Pioneer team for hosting events such as these and for setting the stage for God to speak to our friends about the nature of their involvement with Gods mission (and hopefully Hope Church Sittingbourne!!).
If you're a pioneer or exploring the call to potentially either join or establish a new Kingdom work either within the UK or to the nations then check out the Relational Mission Pioneer website.
On Friday, 29th June we had the privilege of 1,000s of people across nations and time zones in Relational Mission churches praying for Hope Church Sittingbourne at #ENOUGH.
If you missed it, here is a short video we recorded to help people in their prayers for us here at Hope Church Sittingbourne - Thank you for standing with us! #prayersofmany #newfrontiers #relationalmission #moretogetherthanapart #roots #hearts #smiles #Sittingbourne #Swale #Kent
We wanted to say a massive THANK YOU to those that made the effort on a lovely sunny Friday evening (29th June 2018) to travel over to #Sittingbourne for #ENOUGH to pray for multiple Relational Mission #Kent pioneering contexts, including our own.
Seeing friends gathered and united in fellowship, worship and prayer from across all of Kent, and especially giving some local Sittingbourne friends exposure to how we go about things, was such a joy and I welled up a few times.
One of the couples that have recently joined up with us/Hope Church Sittingbourne were there for the whole evening and commented “This is the best prayer meeting we’ve been to in over 15 years!!” #wow
We were blessed to have friends there from Sittingbourne churches and friends representing the Swale CAP Debt Centre and Sittingbourne Foodbank.
We came home with bundles of cards and pieces of paper covered with prophetic words, prayers and encouragements - I chatted with each of the other guys representing the pioneering works into Dover, Sheppey and Margate and know that they too were so encouraged with the sense of togetherness and unity demonstrated throughout the night - So good!
It took a small army of people to make it all happen. We’re really thankful for those that sacrificially served to make the BBQ, refreshments, communion, worship and hosting all possible - Thank you!
The date for our next #ENOUGH night of prayer is Friday, 16th November 2018. Can we please encourage you to get the date in your diaries now and do all you can to join in with the #prayersofmany - Venue to be confirmed.
