Lets talk about Sundays...
When & where do you meet?
We meet every Sunday morning at Costa Coffee in The Forum shopping centre (ME10 3EE). We encourage people to arrive from 9:45am to order their drinks and have opportunity to meet one another, get settled and to give us opportunity to meet & welcome any visitors. If it's your first time visiting us, we'd like to let you to know that the church pays for all of the drinks, so when you arrive let the Barista at Costa know you're with Hope Church Sittingbourne and they'll add your drink(s) to our bill. We aim to start our time together at 10am and usually aim to finish by approx. 11:15am. We meet in the upper-room area of Costa Coffee which can be accessed via the stairs. Parking There is paid public parking available at: • The Forum Surface Car Park is right next to Costa Coffee (£1.30/hr). • Sittingbourne Train Station car park (£3/day on Sundays). What should I expect? Our Sundays are family friendly and set out cafe style. We usually have a combination of sung worship, prayer, exploring a biblical theme or topic on tables (often with conversation & discussion) and time for making new friends in a fun environment, all with great Costa drinks. We currently have approx. 45 people of all ages gathering with us most weeks. It’s a fairly relational and casual social environment with a family feel. What about children? Our mornings are quite short and organised with children/families in mind. Several of the Hope Church family have young children through to older teenagers. Please be aware that we don't have specific provision for children's work, all parents/carers/guardians are encouraged to remain directly responsible for any young people with them. Philosophically (and Biblically) we think of our Sunday mornings as an extension of our shared family life together.. we love having young and old together throughout. Accessibility We meet in the upper-room of Costa Coffee in The Forum, Sittingbourne. It sadly presents some access challenges for those with mobility issues (or with large children's buggies to carry!). We are very happy to help people navigate the flight of stairs by carrying any pushchairs, wheelchairs or buggies upstairs, but please be aware if navigating a double flight of stairs isn’t possible for you then sadly your participation may well be restricted due to this logistical challenge. We apologise in advance if this presents you with a problem. We are mindful of this for any future decisions we might make regarding alternative meeting venues. Giving / Tithing As a church we encourage and teach people to give generously, consistently, proportionally and joyfully in-line with the Bibles teaching. Giving can be done in a number of ways, such as in-person on Sundays, via direct standing order or online. More info can be found on our GIVING page. |

What do Hope Church Sittingbourne Sundays look like?
There are several ways you could meaningfully support us...
We believe that mission is best when done with friends, so meaningful relationships are a huge priority for us.
We encourage new friends to get meaningfully connected within the Hope Church Sittingbourne community before starting to serve, minister or get otherwise practically involved.

Engage with HOPE HOUSEHOLDS...
We believe that the church is a family of people on a mission, and about far more than Sunday morning gatherings. The church we see in the New Testament is a community that observably loves Jesus, and one another, and gives itself to making the Good News of Jesus the King, and His Kingdom, known to others. With this in mind we meet fortnightly together in HOPE HOUSEHOLDS in homes across Sittingbourne. |
Support in prayer...
Every month we pray specifically and strategically for Sittingbourne at our Breakthrough Prayer evenings. These are usually on a Sunday evening around 8pm to 9pm on ZOOM. The later start time encourages families with younger children to connect in together after children have gone to bed.
We also on occasion have prayer needs and prayer testimonies featured on our online newsletter. You can sign-up to receive this below.

Support Hope Church Sittingbourne financially...
We believe in generous, consistent, proportionate and joyful giving. The teachings of Jesus indicate joyful generosity to be an indicator of a thankful heart and an expression of our worship.
All of our funding is generated directly through the generosity of our local church community, and supporters from outside of our local setting (ie. we dont have any external funding sources such as any denominational grants).
As a legally registered UK charity (#1186867) Hope Church Sittingbourne operates within the legal charity framework of the Charity Commission. All of our finances and legal records are available publicly and our resources are faithfully stewarded by an excellent team of trustees who diligently serve in supporting the ongoing vision of our leadership team.
