In Acts 12:24 it says that "as the Word of God multiplied so disciples also multiplied".
As a core-team we have felt stirred from this verse that Jesus is inviting Hope Church Sittingbourne to do three things as part of our 20x20 Vision, these three things are: 1. Multiply the Word 2. Multiply disciples 3. Multiply connection points Over the next 6/8 weeks we will be in a posture of prayerfully considering this invitation which we believe the Holy Spirit has laid before us. We're exploring the practical and spiritual implications of embracing a new future shape towards exponential growth as well as considering some of the implications for us organisationally. Change can be scary.. some of us love it, others not so much! Over the next couple of months we're trusting God to speak to those who would rush off about intentionally allowing others to catch up, and to those who would resist to link arms with others so that we all step forward in unison together. As the above vision develops into a clear practical strategy we will begin to drip-feed some of the necessary changes that will be happening for us to align ourselves with Gods plans for us. With this in mind, can you please make a note in your diary for Sunday, 5th January 2020 when we will be sharing more of our 20x20 Vision for the year ahead, Great to gather together & worship Jesus this morning at Costa. We had the pleasure of Steve, Jennie & Amy Dunn visiting to encourage us on 'Treasuring the small things'. We love inviting Relational Mission friends in to speak into our evolving church plant #moretogether #RMkent#relationalmission #newfrontiers
We were encouraged by our little church plant, with 18 of us travelling over to nearby #Swale friends Faversham Community Church to physically join Relational Mission churches from across #Kent in the #prayersofmany across 5 continents with 1,000s of others! To have had so many local pioneering situations present was such a huge encouragement too - More Lord #newfrontiers #relationalmission #prayerfirst #ENOUGH#moretogether
We're incredibly thankful for these three wonderful ladies who are spending a few days at the CAP HQ in Bradford being trained to lead #CAPLifeSkills in #Sittingbourne & wider #Swale. Exciting to think in just a few months time this great new work should be up & running to bless & serve local people in Jesus name #hope #christiansagainstpoverty#lifeskills
Such an encouragement to prayer walk central #Sittingbourne tonight with a handful of faithful guys believing Jesus for exponential Kingdom transformation in every sphere; commuters, new estates & infrastructure (& new residents), local council & national government, local businesses, social care provision, Churches Together in Sittingbourne & lots more. We even laid hands on a cinema we'd quite like to occupy! #hope #church#sittingbourne #relationalmission #newfrontiers
